Queen Anne Soccer Club

Team Assignment Guidelines

  1. We will strictly adhere to policies of USYSA, rules of SYSA, and Queen Anne Soccer Club regulations.
  2. Returning players will stay on their existing teams unless it is necessary for the club to transfer players to satisfy our mission of providing an opportunity for all players to have a team. Any other change is at the sole discretion of the Registrar.
  3. New players do not select their team.
  4. Coaches do not select players for their team except that a head coach and one assistant may chose to coach together and have their own kids on the team.
  5. Players registering before the deadline have priority for placement on a full team over late registrants even if the former is a new player and the latter is a returning player.
  6. In forming new teams (i.e., U11) or merging teams (i.e., three U10 teams becoming two U11 teams) talent will be distributed evenly if an accurate assessment of talent is available from impartial observers - otherwise players will be randomly allocated.
  7. Disputes will be resolved by the Registrar, President and Commissioner.
